Greb on Deer Island

This bird was sitting on the sand near the water when we passed by. When we came near it did not fly away. We approached with caution and found it to be imobile, friendly, and in need of some help. Rebecca was so excited to see her up close...we gathered some sea weed, a box from(Paul Beckman Tours)and paddled the Kayak back to the mi casa. On the way to town i dropped her off at the Aquarium who accepts all animals in need. They told me she was a bit dehydrated and that she would be released where found soon....

Eduardo for a day with nature...dolphins escourted us out of the entry and were there again as we headed back in...at Deer Island various artists(alla Andy Goldsworthy)made a nature sculpture for all to see...Lots of good information given by Rick on the migrating whales and birds....

Bob & Mary Beth Bates find the Mi Casa from the Gold Zone and are joined by Peter Giani(a transplanted Italian living in San Francisco)& Makaiel for an afternoon of sailing...Nice 10 knot winds move the Mi Casa to Seal Rock for a view of the inhabitants there....we see seal pods swimming in water as well as on the rock for a nice sun bath....
